New Sessions for Active Totz

Active Totz is for children aged 2-5 years and their parents/ carers. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the session.

When is the programme taking place?

The Active Totz programme will be taking place;

Starting 12th January 2010 -Every Tuesday in Dunes Splash World from 1pm – 2pm.

Starting 16th January 2010 - Every Saturday at the new Meadows Leisure Centre from 10am – 11am.

Starting 2nd February 2010 - Every Tuesday until 30th March 2010 in Litherland Moss Children’s centre from 10.30am – 11.30 am.

Starting 22nd February 2010 – Every Monday at the new Meadows Leisure Centre from 10am – 11am.

Starting 4th March 2010 – Thursday 4th / 11th / 18th / 25th March in Linaker Children’s Centre from 1.30pm – 2.30pm.

What does the programme provide?

Active Totz is a children’s play scheme, which aims to introduce new movement skills and enhance social awareness. Children will learn to develop positive relationships with each session promoting learning and development leading to a healthy and active lifestyle.

Passport to Health and Fitness

The passport initiative gives each child the opportunity to achieve personal success regardless of sporting ability. The cost of each hourly session includes a passport, which is stamped every time children attend a session. Accumulative stamps lead to prizes being awarded, such as certificates, soft play balls, t-shirts and kitbags.

How much do the sessions cost?

Children Centre sessions are free of charge.

Dunes and Meadows Leisure Centre sessions are priced at £2 per child. Registered child minders can receive a 50% discount per child (£1) – identification required.
